Activating Event Subscription Messages

To active this feature, settings in more than one screen must be updated. For example, in order for an employee to receive a message that his or her RN license has expired, the feature must be activated in the system, and both the Event Subscription (EmpLicExpired) and the License (RN) must be enabled.

• In order for messages to be displayed in EIS devices, this feature must be enabled at the system level by setting System Indicator TA Solution Standard 5 to Yes.

• In order for a particular message to be displayed, the event must be activated in Configuration > System > Event Subscriptions by setting the Device Message Enabled field to Yes

• In order for a specific license or course/competency to be included in the display for a particular message, the Device Message Participation field must be set to Enabled or Enabled with Lockout.

  • For licenses, this field is located in Configuration > System > License.

  • For courses, this field is located in the Configuration > Education Tracking > Course/Competency.
